These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you ("User," "you") and True Lies ("we," "us," "our") governing your access to and use of the True Lies mobile application and any related services (together, the "App"). By creating an account, starting a session, or otherwise using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account. By using the App you represent that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
True Lies analyzes voice recordings you provide during a session and produces estimates of vocal stress and answer consistency using automated transcription and AI models.
Many jurisdictions require the consent of all parties to a conversation before it may be recorded ("two-party" or "all-party consent" laws); others permit recording with the consent of only one party. You are solely responsible for knowing and complying with the recording laws that apply to you and to every other person in a session.
We may suspend or terminate accounts we reasonably believe are being used in violation of this section.
Camera-based features: if and when the App enables optional camera-based vitals (including facial video and estimated heart rate via remote photoplethysmography), the same consent obligations apply to video as to audio — you must have the knowing consent of everyone appearing on camera before starting that kind of session.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
The App offers a free tier and an optional paid "Premium" subscription that unlocks unlimited sessions and additional features.

You retain ownership of the audio, transcripts, and other content you submit through the App ("User Content"). By using the App, you grant us a limited license to process, transmit, and store User Content solely to provide and improve the App's functionality, including sending audio to third-party transcription and AI providers as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for having the rights and consents necessary to submit any User Content that includes another person's voice or likeness.
The App uses third-party services — including automated speech-to-text transcription and large language model providers — to generate analysis and reports. These providers process User Content under their own terms and privacy commitments in addition to ours. We select and may change these providers at our discretion to maintain or improve service quality.
The App, including its software, design, trademarks, and content (excluding User Content), is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial use in accordance with these Terms.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR ACCURACY. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP'S ANALYSIS, SCORES, OR REPORTS ARE ACCURATE, RELIABLE, OR SUITABLE FOR ANY DECISION.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE AND OUR OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND LICENSORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, RELATIONSHIPS, INCOME, OR PROFITS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP OR RELIANCE ON ITS OUTPUT, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE APP WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE.
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the App, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms or of any law, including recording-consent laws.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to other users, us, or third parties. You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time through Settings.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms in the App with a new "Last updated" date, and material changes will be flagged in-app. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of [Insert Governing State/Country], without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the App will be resolved in the courts located in [Insert Venue], unless applicable law requires otherwise.
